Committee Agendas

Agendas are now available for the December 12, 2016 meetings of the Committee of the Whole (closed session at 5:30 p.m. and regular session at 6:00 p.m.), and City Council, the December 13, 2016 meeting of the Library Board, as well as the December 15, 2016 meeting of City Council at Market Hall. All Council and committee meeting minutes and agendas are posted to the Council Calendar as soon as they become available. Meetings of Council will be live streamed at www.peterborough.ca/watchcouncil


talkPDI

The City of Peterborough has received a recommendation from City of Peterborough Holdings Inc. regarding the potential sale of Peterborough Distribution Inc. to Hydro One. An extensive consultation took place in November. Events are listed on the talkPDI calendar of events. Members of the public also had an opportunity to provide comment and ask questions at a special public meeting of Council on November 24, 2016 at Market Hall. Council will consider the recommendation at a Special Committee of the Whole meeting on December 7, 2016 at Showplace Performance Centre. The Committee of the Whole decision will be ratified at a special meeting of Council Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Market Hall.


2017 Operating and Capital Budget Book Presentation

The Budget Committee has completed their review of the 2017 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets.  The meeting previously scheduled for Thursday, December 1, 2016 has been cancelled.


Skating on the Canal 

The City of Peterborough and the Trent Severn Waterway partner to provide skating on the canal at the Liftlock. Please abide by the safety flag. The flag is currently red.


Community Meals

St. John's Anglican Church has been selected to deliver community meals. St. Johns will operate the meal and drop-in program from their location at 99 Brock Street.


2017 Waste Reduction and Conservation Calendar

The Waste Reduction and Conservation Calendar will be delivered to City residents Friday, December 2, 2016 in Peterborough This Week.

Christmas Extravaganza on Ice - CANCELLED Due to unforeseen circumstances the promoter for Christmas Extravaganza on Ice has had to cancel the 2016 tour including the date scheduled for the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Sunday, December 11, 2016 for a 6 p.m. show.

City Services during the 2016 Holiday Season Many City facilities will remain closed from noon on Friday, December 23, 2016 until Tuesday, January 3, 2017, including City Hall, Social Services, and City of Peterborough Day Cares.
Winter Parking Restrictions on City Streets To assist snow-clearing operations, parking restrictions are in effect in the City of Peterborough from December 1, 2016 - April 1, 2017.
